Response to Dennis Martin's "Breakfast at Tiffany's" Blog Post by Neill O'Brien

Now that our 50th high school reunion is less than two months away I've finally gotten around to really exploring our class Facebook page AND our reunion website and came across Dennis Martin's Breakfast at Tiffany's (O'Briens) blog.  Great memories!  I worked at the drugstore on weekends and coach Mosher came in most days for his coffee and smokes and to hold court with whoever showed up. I worked the grill and it could have been Dennis's dad that I messed up the pancakes so badly that he said "just give me some eggs".

Dad was a big booster for Rollins College as well as WPHS. He took the RC men's tennis teams to tournaments all over the southeast. During a WPHS Homecoming week he arranged to have a live wildcat in a cage at the drugstore. Not sure what the ASPCA or the health department would think about that now.

Annette (Kilgore) & I both being 67' WPHS grads and staying in WP made it easy for us to be active with our reunions over the years. The reunion committee has much fun and laughter planning our events every 5 years and without fail someone tells us that they would have come before had they known how much fun they'd have. Chris Cottrill, Candy (Glass) Cox, and many others were instrumental in getting our reunions started. We appreciate the credit, but Mary Margaret (Cohen) Bowen has been the recent leader.

As to Annette and I being together, I think she still has me on probation but I'm hoping it will work out. Annette's sister Sally married my brother John and I have no problem saying the O'Brien brothers did a wonderful job of  improving their gene pool by marrying the Kilgore girls.
