Torrey UT 84775 Retired - Tour Guide Married 4 5 19 5 https://www.facebook.com/ted.winder.18 ecwinder tedcwinder Yes

Our family lived in Winter Park for only three years and moved back to Utah after my Junior year.  That’s why you won’t find me listed in our 1967 yearbook.  The time I spent with all of you was wonderful and unforgettable!

Although I was pretty quiet and not well known, I was there on the same ride with the rest of you.  I dreamed of making the basketball team and spent a lot of time on the hardwood learning from Coach MacHardy.  Being the last guy cut due to an injury was heartbreaking and life-changing.  I was also in the Orchestra and Marching Band.  I’ve considered myself lucky to have been taught by Mr. Williams, one of my most influential teachers ever.  The kindness shown to me by Anne Vestal, Charles Rex, Cindy Verner, Edgar Williams and my french horn colleague, Don Palmer and so many others of those “weird music kids” meant a lot.  I loved Coach Orr’s Friday dodgeball and studying French with classmate Judy Baker.  I spent good times with Geoff Anderson and Larry Maier and was privileged to sit next to the brilliant Martha Pasternack as we studied and laughed our way through Miss Barfield’s literature class.  Too many to mention, but all of you had an influence on me that I will never forget.  Thanks Class of ’67 for being such an important part of my life!

After high school I attended college in Idaho where I met and married a cattle rancher’s daughter.  We made our home in Salt Lake City where we reared our family of four children.  I’ve worked in travel and tourism for 45 years, most recently as a tour guide specializing in the Western U.S.   Currently we live in beautiful southern Utah in the little town of Torrey.  I retired at the end on 2016.
